Mind at Work:

Mental Health in the Asia Pacific Workplace

The Asia-Pacific members of the Employment Law Alliance (“ELA”) have come together to prepare this publication designed to provide insights into mental health in the workplace in several Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.

The expert lawyers of the ELA address frequently asked questions such as are employees with mental health issues entitled to paid or unpaid leave, can employers require employees with suspected mental health issues to take time off or seek medical attention, and in what circumstances, if any, can an employer terminate an employee with mental health issues.

We hope you will find this publication useful and relevant. The information in this publication is meant as an overview and does not constitute legal advice. If you have any questions on the law in any of the jurisdictions, please contact the relevant member firm, who can provide the appropriate legal support.
